"You've finally reunited with her, that's just so great"
That's my thot when i saw da new tablet on da altar. U noe, da tablets tat spells names of ur an.cestors? Previously, there's 2 on da altar: 1 for an.cestors & my granny, 1 for my grandpa. (granny left us much earlier)
Last Sun was da major prayer session for grandpa... (aka 'gong tek' as mentioned in prev entry). After tis, i realise now there's jus 1 tablet (names combined) & granny's name is beside grandpa. At tat moment, i felt hapi, hapi coz it feels lik my dear ahgong has finally 'reunited' wif da 'big family' & somehw i pictured a scene of ahgong meeting granny somewhere up there~~
It dawned on me tat i'll cont. to follow my parents' re.ligion not juz coz i grew up wif it but also becoz they believe in it. & i shd cont. to believe in it & do things their way so that things will happen da way they want it to be... Confusing? Okie, eg. grandpa's case. Imagine my dad's of a diff re.ligion & doesn't do ahgong's way of prayers, i wonder wat wil happen to ahgong? - - Lik nw in reality, both of them believe in da same practices >> When ahgong's abt to leave us, he knew tat Dad will follow traditions & do such stuff for him when he leaves us. & Dad Will burn a big paper hse for ahgong coz he believes ahgong will get to live in it in da other world.
Still confusin? Ok nvm! Hahaa... But tat day, to my shock, there were more than 15tables. About 20 tables at my void deck. But what i appreciated was da fact tat all da relatives realli did turn up! They reali gif face man.. To come make offerings, pay some tokens to us, to eat 'mianxian' which Mum said was 'tradition' & of coz other dishes it was an 7-course lunch i rem. & well basically is gif face la! Ha... 'What a close family' i was tinking... Some of them were distant relatives & we may oni meet once a yr bt itz at such times when u nid family, they do turn up! **impressed** & i'm damn proud of Dad's & uncle's social skills wif them. I bet our younger generation won't be tis close wif one another in future... I do hope ahgong likes his new big hse & has plenty of $$ to spend...
Trick or Treat?
Yest. was da 1st time i so-called celeb. hallow.een & itz fun! Itz mostly coz da company rocks! Coz da club was ok oni but da atmosphere & frenz were fabulous~~ I din noe ppl reali dressed up to celeb. it... & we took many pics! Sc said "No pics no talk" so i shall stop here. Pics wil be up soon hurhur~
