I'm Back!!! i luv my country!! i luv u all!!
Hotel lobby looks nice~ but was shocked when i realised how FAR my room was from da lift.. *shivers* so i walked v fast... Ta da! My room looks lik tis but 2 single beds instead *freaky thots* But i dumped my stuff on da other bed & well... not tink nonsense thots.. *pray*
1st time brushed teeth using mineral water *so luxurious* haa.. But no choice coz every1 said their water canot make it! No ice either~ we shd oni take hot or canned drinks..
They're 2.5 hrs behind us so itz lucky.. i din overslept...
After breakie, da 2big bosses aka my directors suggested to take a walk outside & see2 look1..
When walkin along da roads, da pavements were dirty & rubbish were all heaped by da side.. Da drainwater look hideous, black & murky *yucks*
Thot tis sch looks pretty rundown, our sg schs looks much nicer, our younger generation are so lucky
Tatz my no.2 big boss, he's super adventurous & jus kept walkin & walkin...
We visited a hotel tatz abt 5mins walk away fr ours... Looks pretty nice too..
Da shops all looked pretty old & messy... We decided to turn around & go back... To prep for the afternn campus visits & event~
My 'shield' aka mr D. whom i report directly to.. has thrown da letter! *shucks* i've to face da bee-chi boss directly in future *groans*
On da way in da car, i took pics... They've tuk-tuks too. & tat bus looks lik da ones we had when we were in pri.sch! no air-con one!

I realise itz 'Indoors vs Outdoors: A Whole of Difference' in this country. Da common areas such as roads, corridors are dusty & dirty.. da buildings looks old too but when u're indoors, itz different! Da dean's or HODs' offices haf air.con & are normal but outside? *canot make it*
Da profs there were so eager to meet my directors... For some re.search collaboration. Thou i noe nuts abt their technical jargons, my profs & their profs are all involved in meaningful re.search wk. There was a presentation & recruitm talk at 1 of their auditoriums...
It ended smoothly. *gd* 1 thing done. Next!
i've owiz appreciate tis sunny island =) Many stuff to rattle but letz talk abt da trip 1st.

Dinner: after much discussion (i refused to take da tuk-tuk to venture out to an unknown plc, without maps, solely relying on strangers' recommendations) we decided to makan at da hotel nex door~
Very a-tas~~ xcellent cust. svc~ Served all our food i dun nid to lift a finger to scoop anythin.
Didn't take pics of food coz it was all served on my plate & we started gobbling Haha! but it was delicious... Their seafood~ Not very ex.. even if convert to our S$..
Early nex mornin, me & mr D. woke up earlier for tis event..
Once again, xcellent cust svc, they prep everythin i instructed them to... & i can understand wat they're speakin! *snigger*
Da turnout wasn't super fantastic but i dun care... as long as da stuff i planned went smoothly, my wk's completed! keke..
We finally took da tuk-tuk... to tis shoppin centre...
Had lunch at their 'food.court'. Suddenly... Black.out!! da area (circled in yellow below) was in complete darkness! Luckily we sat near da windows & had sunlight shinin in.. *phew*
Tis lunch was so-so but their fries are v nice! Both tis & da fries i had at da hotel for my sandwich previously. *surprised*
We shopped at tis shop... I said 'excuse me' to a lady amidst da crowd & she turned ard, looked startled & eyed me fr head to toe.. while i "chey!" (to myself) & jus cont. walkin.. Haha! If u say da men stared at me, i tell u, da women here glared at me one loh...
Was v glad to finally find tis bookshop coz we walked so damn long a distance! All coz of ahcai & his books *grrr* Openin my eyes big in order not to step on 'gold' on da pavements~ Shuttin my nostrils coz of da stench & air pollution~
We went to tis restaurant (recommended by a baddie-face boss in a shop) for dinner. I was so relieved we did arrived at da restaurant. Jus dun feel safe here la!
Itz a nice dinner, their meats were grilled lik ke.babs, yummy curries & naa.n~
When we were waitin for da bill, they served tis.. i heard tis was to lik freshen up ur breath after da meal.. wif sugar crystals, mints etc..
Took tuk-tuk back to hotel.. Bustling traffic~ Tis white car looks nicee.. their cab~
Was so glad to reach da hotel, grab luggage & hope onto my S.Q.plane & fly home!!

I felt very out of place there & thus very skeptical & felt unsafe.. Unlike in Bang.kok (thou itz still v foreign but u noe they're very tourist-oriented)...
Locals shd jus visit there & den stop complaining!! The diff betw da rich & da poor there is so BIG. We passed by slumps & saw ppl sittin on streets, beggin.. & i felt itz reali true tat education is da key to civili.sation.. Those who noe english can for eg. wk in hotels & lik da students who are studyin in Unis, there're foreign cty lik us who offer them scholar.ships to study & they can get out of their homeland...
It jus feels so gd to be home!! & i learnt to be even more appreciative of wat i've... =) missya luvya~~
